Love It With Me Wednesday: Meet nOoKiE

I never thought I would take the eReader plunge...
But I did and I love it!!
Love it like....bad.
I highly recommend the nook. If you are an avid reader you need one in you life. Especially if you travel.
Did you know you could name your nook? Yeah. Cool right? Mine is Nookie! Original. I know!
Anyway, I'm in love! It has so many cool features. Such a fun toy.
Next time you are lurking around a B & N or Best Buy play with one. They are awesome!
Off to play with my Nookie...get your mind out the gutter.

Eee.. I just don't know. I don't think I'm a fan of e-readers. How do you curl up with an e-reader? How do you know that you have to stay up and keep reading because in only two chapters you'll find out who the killer is? How do you bend a page when you find a great saying? These are serious questions I have! :) Also, I'm scared they'll bring the imminent demise of my favorite hangout spot - the library.

I have always wanted to try one of those... but question does it hurt your eyes after awhile?!
Cute blog by the way ;)

I LOVE my nook so much too! I'm glad someone else understands! I actually get annoyed when I am reading an actual book now. They are really annoying to hold, especially when you're trying to read in bed.

I named mine Nookynook because my boyfriend's (also Alex's) MOM made a joke about it "It's called a nookybook... nook e-book."

@the other comments,
-They are way easier to curl up with actually, especially when you want to lie down and read because it doesn't hurt your wrist holding it for hours and you don't need to keep switching sides.
-You can bookmark and highlight pages and passages as well as dictionary words right as you're reading.
-It does not hurt your eyes at all! The page looks exactly like a page out of a book and it has no back-lighting.

I can't wait to hear what you think about it after a while. I've wanted one, but since I got a lot of my books at used bookstores or libraries I worry about the cost, but I still want one!

Awww Nookie! How cute. I'm still not sold if it is really is cheaper to have an e-reader or not. That's my biggest concern. I think I really want one but it's just not in the budget right now. Haha. Maybe one day!
