Love It With Me Wednesday: You People

You know who I love...
You guys.
I started this little blog to journal and post pictures for family (who never read this blog) and now I am lucky enough to call so many of you friends.
I joined twitter for the purpose of stalking celebrities...I ended up tossing most of my celebs for more bloggy friends!
As I have mentioned before, some of you I have known forever, some just a short while.
I have seen some of your beautiful faces in person and some I haven't...yet.
I do love you all.  In different ways.  For different reasons.
You all bring something different to the table.  I love that.
Some of you are liberal, some conservative and some don't care...I love that too.
I think you get me.  I love you. Really.

Thank you for being you and supporting me while I find out who me really is.

Also...for more Love It With Me, visit one my favorite bloggy besties, Lauren! She is away and was brave enough to let some of us take over her blog.  I dished on what I have learned about being married! Check it out and let me know your thoughts on marriage...even if you aren't married!

Make my Monday

Most of you know that I am fairly easily entertained.  It doesn't take much to get me to laugh or to improve my mood.  Now, getting me to swoon is another story all together.  I have a little treat for all of you...

I follow Ian Somerhalder (aka: Boone from Lost and tasty Damon from The Vampire Diaries) on the Twitter.
Tonight he tweeted the following:

I couldn't stop myself.  I clicked the link and was happy to find:

Apparently, this website is having a "which make-out is hotter" contest!

They also posted a video clip...

I vote Ian and Nina.  Hands.  Down.

What do you think?? Vote in the comments!!

Sunday Funny 3

I have been a blog failure. I am sorry.  I'd love to say that I will do better...that would be a lie. We have been so so busy and it doesn't look like that is going to stop anytime soon.  Love me through it.

Are you ready for the funny??

{Driving home from a lovely weekend in Vermont}

Will: What's for dinner? {We just had lunch...we are always thinking of the next meal}
Me: Well...there is lots of produce that needs to get used before we go on vacay. {I proceed to list the things that I can cook without going to the store}
Will: We haven't had the mushroom and leek soup in while.
Me: We don't have leeks but if that is what you want we can stop at Trader Joe's. {knowing that he wouldn't stop...Trader Joe's is on the other side of the hwy and Will hates backtracking}
Will: No...thats cool.  {Like I said} Maybe when we get home?  It will be colder then.  Perfect soup weather.
Me: Sure thing babe! {I'm so accommodating}
Will: I really love that soup.  Its like 100% guaranteed to be a hit...its like the one thing that is always good.
Me: So...everything else that I cook isn't always a hit? hmmm everything isn't always good???
Will: Um. Well. I...{this goes on for a good 60-90 seconds}
Me: Well?
Will: Need a moment? Grab a Twix?
Me: Laughing and snorting...

Love him.  I really love him.

Pearl of Little Price

Whether "chance" and "fate" have any real effect or consequence on our lives is more than I care to ponder, but occasionally I like to look back from any moment in time to remember how I got to that specific point. Kinda a brief flashback to realize how random things are and how much the odds are against us to have arrived at our current place and time. Deep, huh? Well I had the opportunity (free time and totally bored) to flashback to a recent occurrence which was quite amusing to Kim and I, and I would like to share that with you in the hopes to amuse you as well.

Just recently one of our dear friends from church moved away and they decided to have a girls only, going-away for her at a local Regina's Pizza. I wanted to drive Kim there so I could hold onto the car and do some Costco shopping while they were doing girl stuff (and I don't care to guess what girl stuff is, its a deep and mysterious realm which no guy has ever returned from).
So I drop her off at Regina's and the sight of that awesome pizzeria drove me into a fit of hunger that had to be sated. So as I was pulling out of that shopping area I remembered that there was a Kelly's Roast Beef restaurant just there on the corner, Hooray! I can dig into some Kelly's like nobodys business. So I park the car, go inside, get in line, order my usual. The usual is a cup of their amazing Clam Chowder and a Garden salad with Greek dressing and slab of feta on the side (yes, I'm aware that Kelly's had a Greek salad, but for two bucks less you only loose the olives. Some how they haven't caught onto my scheme yet). So I'm chillin, enjoying my salad and "chowda" when i bit something hard. That always throws me off, when the texture isn't quite what I expected from what I'm eating. After about 5 seconds of being dazed I fished out the small bead. As I starred at it for about a minute it occurred to me just what I was eating (I know, a whole minute when you all probably saw this coming a mile away, well I'm slow at these things), turns out it was a small, imperfect pearl. No big deal, but for me at the time it was pretty cool. The rest of my night was not nearly as eventful, went shopping for the upcoming camping trip and picked up Kim after they were done. I showed her the pearl which she was amazed at especially by the method of obtaining it. It may have been a small pearl, very much an imperfect pearl, but it was a pearl none the less. Now it sits in the cup holder of our car to remind us every now and again of that day and that friend that moved away.

And now the moral of the story. You never know what events will take place in your life that will lead you to finding that perfect ending, but its the small pearls along the way that make all those events worth it. I look back on our rather short, but amazing life together and remember all the awesome surprises and celebrations, but the parts I love the most are the uneventful evenings curled up on the couch watching a movie or reading a book.

Sunday Funny 2

{walking down the hall of my building eating a Dora, as in the explorer, Popsicle}
Gaspar, adorable little boy that lives down the hall: Hi, Miss Kim!
Me: Hi, Gaspar!
Gaspar: Are you going somewhere?
Me: Yes!
Gaspar: Where? {Gaspar asks LOTS of questions}
Me: To my friend's house for dinner.
Gaspar: Oh!
{I'm getting in to the elevator and Gaspar and his mother keep walking}
Gaspar: Hey!  I have those Popsicles at my house!
Me: You do!?
Gaspar: Yeah..the Dora Popsicles!
Me: Yep. I love Dora Popsicles!
Gaspar: {looking so surprised}That's cool.  OK. Bye!
{Elevator closing}
Gaspar: Mom, so grown ups eat Dora Popsicles too?
{Smiling to myself happily finishing off my glorious popsicle}

Love It With Me Wednesday: Hair Edition

So....
Yeah...
Its been awhile.
But...
I'm back!!
We have been busy camping and playing with or friends and enjoying this gorgeous weather. You heard right...Boston has gifted us with an amazing  summer!
I have also been a reading fool...it has been glorious!
Anywho...I also won a giveaway!!  Holla!!
My friend Annie Cristina hosted a fabulous giveaway and I was the lucky winner of a new piece of jewelry. When it arrives I will blog about it...don't you worry!
On with what I want you to love...

See that Pantene container?
Yeah, that one.
The stuff in that container helped me fall back in love with my hair.
For the last few years I have sorta been on a hair roller coaster.
Love it! Hate it. Like it. Wanna shave it.
I used to love my hair. It was long and healthy.  Not to be vain...it was gorgeous!
There was even a time that it was short and I still loved it.
I have had several bad cuts as of late and my hair has been so dry.
It has been refusing to cooperate so therefore I don't bother fixing it.
On Monday I decided that something must be done so I stood in the hair product isle at Target FOREVER and choose the Pantene hair treatment.
When I say transformed...I mean it.
I let my hair air dry before going to bed and it looked like it had just been blown and straighten...no lie.
I actually enjoyed doing my hair Tuesday morning. I literally bounced in to the office with my shiny happy hair!
Do yourself a favor and trust me on this one!  Well cared for hair behaves better and dry hair will retaliate!
That is all!

Love It With Me Wednesday: Mr. Sexy

If you follow me on Twitter then you know I often refer to Will as Mr. Sexy! It kinda embarrasses him...but that's to bad! I only speak the truth!!
I love this man more than I could ever say. I really lucked out. Like...REALLY! I am not the easiest person to live with {shocking...I know}. Will has a way with me. A way with people in general. He lets me be crazy when I need to be. He loves me through the melt downs. He thinks {this is a big one} about me and my needs. He is loyal {that's not really a good enough word}.
Now, He isn't perfect. He is, however, perfect for me. I'm not saying we don't fight or that he never does anything that ruffles my feathers...I am saying that he is a good to me and good for me!

Meet...Mr. Sexy

This is from our trip to Chicago...newly engaged!

He was juggling to entertain the kiddos at a family reunion!
{He has a gift when it comes to kids...just one more reason to love him}

See...Sexy, right??

Ha ha...this was taken at Martha's Vineyard with my parents! Mama was the one that pointed out that this tree looked like it had boobs and suggested that Will give 'em a squeeze so that we could take a fun photo!! He loves Candy {aka Mama} and will do anything to make her smile!

This was in NYC when we had a subway failure!

Ok! That is a little look at Will and why I love him so stinking much!!

I hope y'all had a great day!

PSBTW...Don't forget to enter the Giveaway!!

Wanna Test Your Marriage?

{I wrote this the morning after our first fay camping}

Wanna Test Your Marriage??

Go tent camping when there is a 99.9 % chance of torrential rain in the forecast.

This camping trip started out so perfect. Nothing like a long weekend away, right?

There was a light sprinkle when we arrived but our site was better than we had hopped. Wooded and secluded, nice and cozy. We started making plans. Tent here. Canopy there. Kitchen on that side. It was going to be great.
And then...the bottom fell out.
Rain, rain and more rain.
It went on for hours.
If you are familiar with the wise man song then you know what happened next.....
The rains came down and the floods came up!
Our campsite was just filling with water {as was our tent}. We tried to come up with solutions for an endless list of problems that we were facing. First we were sweet about it. Talking calmly and being patient. Then all of a sudden we were both on each others last nerve. There was yelling and swearing. It was all VERY counter productive. We finally decided to change sites {after checking all the nearby options for lodging and coming up empty}. At one point while we were moving it was raining so hard and we were so cold {temperature had dropped from 85 to 62} that we started laughing and hugging each other. It was the "we have totally lost it" kind of laughing. The kind where you really should be crying. We did this for about 5 minutes. After that things started looking up. The rain stopped and our tent was no longer filled with water! We made super yummy foil packs over the fire and brownies in the camp oven!
We are now certain that our marriage can take anything!

These pics were taken from my cell during Day 1 of our little adventure!
