29.

I'm 29 today.
I'm currently sitting on the couch in my favorite robe (it belonged to my late grandfather),
Drinking hot cocoa,
Thinking about my life,
And being so happy for where I am.

Loving husband (I'm not just saying that...he is so incredibly thoughtful and kind),
Roof over my head (there is something so rewarding about paying a mortgage instead of rent),
Sweet baby in my belly,
Puppy curled up at my feet,
and surrounded our amazing family and friends!

Things couldn't be better.
Bring on 29...I'm ready! Something tells me this could be the best year of my life thus far!

Summer Lovin': The 4th Vermont Style

Our last New England excursion included a Trip up to Vermont (with our very pregnant friend, lovable toddler and her Husband...you can read her here) to visit some friends that had recently moved from the Boston area.
A nice little reunion/goodbye.
It was perfect.
Great weather.
Great food.
Great people.
I would say that the highlight of the trip was renting a boat and spending the entire day at the lake.
It was magical. Really. Ask anyone that was there. It was seriously the best day ever.
I don't have many pics (too busy having the time of my life) but here they are...(all with a cell...don't judge)

Our handsome boat driver...and our friend M in the background making us a reservation for a great dinner!

Beautiful Day!

Our awesome friends!

A short rain storm kept us inside so the boys got creative!

Its not the 4th of July until you have eaten something red, white and blue and it usually needs to include blueberries and strawberries. Am I right?

It started raining again before the fireworks so we watched from the car...It was still a good time!

That my friends is a Vermont 4th! It was so hard to say goodbye to our friends! Many tears were shed as we left them on our last night together.  In fact as we were leaving Boston (we wanted to get south of the city to get a jump on our travels) I lost it and sobbed uncontrollably. Leaving Texas to move to Boston was the hardest thing I had ever done.  That is until I left Boston to move back to Texas.

Belly Photos (30 Weeks)

OK. People have asked and I am FINALLY giving in.

I have to admit...I kinda love my bump!

NYC Love

I have a deep love for New York City. I would go as far as to say it is my FAVORITE city!
We were able to visit twice while we were living in Boston and that was not enough. One day I am going to get my Mama and my sisters to go back with me but until then I must live off these memories...

Our most recent trip to the Big Apple was Feb. 2011. It was a birthday/Valentine's Day treat and I couldn't have asked for a better gift!

Here are some highlights and things that I never want to forget...

Checking into our hotel...I actually get hotel sick if I don't get to stay in one often enough. {We may need to sneak in one more weekend away before the baby comes!}

Braving Central Park Zoo in the Rain!

The city was really very beautiful...the mist was kinda perfect.

Warming up at the Russian Tea Room {this was a fun experience but the food was just ok}.

The tea and desserts on the other hand, were wonderful!

CUPCAKES!

Manhattan Temple...I just love that it is right in the middle of everything.{I am a Mormon and we attend Temples if you are curious about this click here}

Strolling {or walking quickly as it was almost dark} through Central Park.

Serendipity for dinner and Frozzzen Hot Chocolate! The food here was AMAZING!

This was taken from the Ferry...on our way to meet Lady Liberty!

THE BULL!

I took this waiting in line at the Shake Shack.  Their burgers and concretes were the best!

Wall Street before it got all occupied and such.

New construction at Ground Zero...

Night time in Times Square!

We really wanted to Ice skate at Rockefeller Center but I had twisted my ankle earlier and it didn't seem like  a smart idea!

We had sushi, more cupcakes, went to Dylan's candy store and shopped on 5th Avenue! It was fabulous.

I picked up this great bag...not on 5th Avenue but on somewhere-sketchy-Avenue!

The most amazing 3 days.
On the way home we even stopped and had dinner with friends!

Such a great trip with so many great memories.

Looking back...Christmas 2010 (Part 1)

Looking back at my neglected blog I realized that I didn't post anything about last Christmas! I LOVE Christmas and last year's was so great.  I would hate to forget all the details!

This was our last Christmas in Massachusetts,
last one in our apartment and
quite possibly the last one that would be covered in snow!

We did our usual decorating...

Homemade gift making...

Baking and cooking...

Recieved some awesome gifts from friends...

Thanks Cher!

I cooked us a Christmas dinner since we wouldn't be together...

We put on our pjs and opened gifts together...

One of my gifts from Will was a Creme Brulee` Set (torch included!!!)

Success on the first try!

Then the feverish packing began!!

Please stay tuned for Christmas 2010: Part 2!
